Road Cloud
I am experimenting with a mobile cloud and wifi access point while I am traveling.
Build list:
- Box: Harbor Frieght Pelican box clone
- Power: Power Strip with surge protector
- Wifi router: GL.iNet GL-MT1300
- Cloud Harware: Raspberry Pi 4 4gb with a 1TB SSD in a UGREEN enclosure
- Cloud Software: Dietpi
- Cloud services: Nextcloud, Jellyfin, syncthing
All of this fits in the box and I have attempted to place everything with Velcro with mild success.
Nextcloud serves as a landing page and I have some movies on the pi to try. It works very werll for 1080p movies and I really see the power of jellyfin.
Been on the road for awhile and its working really well. Still need to learn nextcloud, its a bit much for what I want. However the maps feture is great and the fact you can add external sites like jellyfin or other webpages to the top program bar.
