X220 Tablet
- Ever since using my first x220 Tablet in early 2016 I have been hooked on the peak of laptop perfection that is old thinkpads. While the x60, x200 and their variations before the king of Memepads, the x220 tablet to me isnthe KLR650 of computing, it can do it all and more when you learn to use it to its max potential. Touch screen and pen for drawing or writing, old style keyboard that makes typing a dream, msata slot to increase storage, easy to access ram and internals, external battery, easily reparable, ultadock with cd slot that can be used to add more storage, designed by some eldritch god in a way so that the x220 will chip concrete if dropped but the laptop will be fine, thinkslice external battery to add even more power, USB-C swap of the charging port to add ease of use, ability to easily (next to new laptops) coreboot, slot to add an external GPU.
Is it old, yes. Will it do everything you need, yes. Will it do everything you want, yes with work.
SteamDeck
- When I want to play games, this is now my go to. Runs Linux, small, light on power all thing considering, easy to dock if I want to play on a TV. Still learning how far I can push it, but it is the key to my living media room pc and travel media pc now.
Pixel 4a 5g
- Has pretty much everything you want in a smartphone from the use and “look” of a none cheap phone even if it can be had for under $200. Easy to root if you want, easy to put a better Android on like CalyxOS/GrapheneOS. Just make sure its unlocked.
Trackball mouse
- Have a few types of these, love them all
